Quinn Haynie – Handyman. Haynie has been doing great work for me around the house for the last couple of years. Now his son, Quinn, has joined his team and is a great addition! Quinn recently repaired my back deck. He was a one-man show that day, he’s very intelligent, clearly knows what he’s doing, and he knows how to come up with great solutions! Haynie installed new bedroom blinds and did a great job! He also had to take care of a plumbing issue which was NOT done correctly the first time by someone I found on Nextdoor. Haynie knew I was upset but by the end of the evening , I felt much better. Everything that Sherie mentioned in her comments, I feel the same way! Well done Haynie!

Haynie came in to get my home in rental-ready condition. Indoor painting, installing/replacing new light fixtures, fixing toilets and doors, etc. It took a bit of time to get the finalized quote but he and his guy came in and did the work in 2 days. In one case, the faucets we initially hired him to fix ended up being a complete pain taking much longer than originally anticipated. We agreed on a reasonable adjustment with Haynie being very fair in his estimate. In the end, we had a couple of items that needed to be addressed again and he came back 3 days later to fix and we haven’t had any issues since. We did have a couple of scheduling hiccups but overall I am super happy with the work and would hire Haynie again.

Haynie just left the property after doing an excellent job. We had just purchased a new hot water heater, installed near the back of the house, and the installer pointed out that the exhaust chimney was hot enough to ignite the Bougainvillea branches from the neighbor’s overhanging plant. We also needed that chimney secured against the roof fascia, and a loose rain gutter secured at the corner of the garage. It was all done in 90 minutes. These, to be sure, were small tasks; but our gardener had quit, and I had no desire to clamber up a ladder onto the rooftop and cavort with power tools I was ill-equipped to use. Haynie is friendly, responsible (he texted and left a phone message ahead of the appointment to apologize for running late – all of 10 minutes!) and conscientious. Thanks, Next Door, for recommending not just anyone – but the Haynie one!

I previously hired Haynie to install a stairway railing, which was accomplished without a hitch. This time around, I had tenants moving in, who expressed the desire to expedite pulling up the carpet and installing hardwood floors. I immediately called Haynie, who remembered me from the previous project, knew exactly what I had in mind, and promised to call back in a few hours with a timeline. A few hours later he called back and told me workers would be there the next morning to pull carpet, and that the whole project could be done within a week! The timing was perfect, though awfully quick to prepare for on my end 😉 Better to just get it done, though, and I don’t regret it for a second. There was a slight time overrun, mostly due to unanticipated (and visible to the eye) subfloor issues, but nothing unreasonable; and Haynie communicated with me every step of the way, as well as ensuring that the comfort and timeline of my tenants was being respected and prioritized every step of the way. Haynie understands that this sort of business works best as a collaborative transaction. And, not to bury the lede: the floors look absolutely fantastic! The subcontractor Haynie hired is a wizard, and I could not be happier with the result. My tenants are thrilled, I’m thrilled, the house is thrilled! My tenants and I have Haynie at the top of our call list for any of the myriad pop-up issues. I recommend you do the same.

Thanks Nextdoor neighbors for the recommendation of HaynieMan, what a great find! Last year my handy man retired and moved away. My late husband used to call our handy man Bill our “Honey do Husband” Haynie has far surpassed Bill in getting the job done at a reasonable price and in the time frame he says it will be done. Haynie’s workmanship is stellar and he cleans up after himself. He added a kitchenette in my 93 year mother-in Law’s unit that is attached to my house. This morning after I got to work, my mother-in-law called to tell me heater had gone out and she was cold. I reached out to Haynie and he had it working before I had a chance to tell her he was coming! He is definitely my new “Honey Do”!

I recently went from a double gas wall oven to a single gas wall oven and I hired Haynie to install a shelf in the existing space to hold the new oven..in addition to the shelf he needed to adjust the gas valve to accommodate the depth of the unit and he was very efficient in handling both jobs. He lives close by the marina area which is convenient and has very reasonable rates. I would recommend Haynie for all your “handyman” needs !
